Sea Shield & Marine Jacket
The SeaShield and Marine Jacket Systems protects timber, concrete and steel piles from saltwater environments and marine borers, while also strengthening deteriorated piles with durable, lightweight and non-corrosive reinforcing materials. It’s has been shown to double the strength of the original piles and offers a long maintenance-free service life. It can be used to encapsulate jetty piles, offshore riser pipes and exposed piping in the splash and intertidal zones
The system stops corrosion by using special water repelled paste and petrolatum-based tape. The Splash zone protection Marine Piling or Densyl Tape forms an anti-corrosion membrane by displacing water and forming a moisture-resistant bond. A tough HDPE jacket surrounds this component to protect against weathering and mechanical damage. The system has a robust construction and is proven in worldwide sea conditions. The tough HDPE outer jacket is secured with stainless steel bolts through a simple closure system.
